The Induction Training Programme for Environmental Regulators is designed to build a strong foundational understanding of environmental governance, regulatory systems, and the roles and responsibilities of environmental regulators in India.

The programme aims to equip newly inducted officials and professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to effectively discharge their regulatory responsibilities. It provides a comprehensive orientation to the institutional and legal framework for environmental protection, the functions of Pollution Control Boards (PCBs), regulatory processes, compliance assurance, environmental monitoring, enforcement, and environmental damage assessment.

The programme combines conceptual learning with practical approaches, case studies, and examples to help participants understand the regulatory ecosystem and apply their learning in real-world situations. It also focuses on developing essential professional and managerial competencies required for effective regulatory functioning.

Duration and Mode

The programme is designed as a self-paced format allowing learners to access lectures and resources anytime. Participants can revisit materials as needed, ensuring flexibility and convenience for working professionals and students alike.

The flexible format allows participants to build foundational knowledge while also ensuring that they apply the learning from the course in application-based exercises and assignments.

Course Assessment and Certification

Each course is divided into multiple modules, and participants are required to complete a short assessment at the end of every module before proceeding to the next one. A minimum score of 75% is mandatory to unlock the subsequent module. Participants who do not achieve the required score will need to reattempt the assessment.

Upon completion of all modules, participants will be required to undertake a final online assessment for the course. Participants securing 80% or above in the final assessment will be awarded a course completion certificate.

Please note that only two attempts will be provided for the final assessment. Participants are therefore encouraged to carefully go through the course content and take the assessments seriously.
